Abstract
The objective of this project is to refine the Triassic to Eocene stratigraphy of the Slovenian Basin and the Adriatic-Dinaric Carbonate Platform, and to present the results within a wider context of geological evolution of the central and eastern Mediterranean. Some correlative successions outside Slovenia are also studied. The paleontological research focuses on systematics, biochronology, paleoecology and paleobiogeography of selected fossil groups: foraminifers, radiolarians, reef organisms, and bivalves.
