Abstract
The objective is to investigate new biomedical image registration and segmentation methods, which will add to the existing imaging acquisition and processing techniques supporting the diagnostic and treatment of disease and thus improving health care. We will concentrate on point based registration methods, on elastic model-based matching and on elastically deformable contour models for image segmentation.
