Abstract
We will explore the growth mode of epitaksial semconducting and conducting layers grown by the molecular beam epitaxy on different anorganic substrates. Structural characterization techniques will be employed to clarify the distribution of elastic strain within the layers, and mechanisms of strain relaxation. We will investigate the electronic parameters of the layers through the use of synchrotron radiation photoelectron spectroscopy. The results will serve as basis for the characterization of energy band discontinuities at the interface between two dissimilar organic layers and between an organic layer and an inorganic layer.
