Assessment of the stability and mechanical resistance of the high water overflow discharger is very difficult structure because of the importance of HEP Brežice. The analysis takes into account with investigations accomplished computation model and material parameters. The results of control analyze of stability and mechanical resistances are comparable with the results that were given by designer, so the design project is acceptable.

COBISS.SI-ID: 19951126Reinforcement of unbound bearing layers of pavement structures with geocells, represents a new and innovative way of reinforcing the pavement, which provides elasticness, flexibility and sufficient capacity of pavement structure. Experimental and theoretical analysis showed a significant improvement in capacity and reduce deformations using geocells. With using geocells, we increase the bearing capacity of roads and increase the elastic area and reduce permanent deformation of the pavement structure. Based on experimental and theoretical researches, we have carried out in the laboratory by simulating traffic loads and the resulting tensions in the pavement structure, we demonstrated the effect of reinforcement in the case of cyclic dynamic load on the tester. Laboratory experiments have been proceeded by using Traffic Load Simulator, built in the ZAG. The method was examined on the ground, with the execution of the test field, where we installed geocells and performed measurements. Completed test field represents the first example geocells reinforced road in Slovenia.

COBISS.SI-ID: 19947798At hot rolling considerable higher productivity is achieved in comparison to hot forging and thus also hot rolling of tool steels is considered as prefer bulk forming process. However at this hot working process special attention to occurrence of cracking should be paid that can present limitation for its usage. In this contribution, an approach for avoiding of occurrence of cracks during hot caliber rolling of pre-forged billet from medium-chromium ledeburitic tool steel (OCR8W) is presented. First step was increasing of intrinsic hot workability that was achieved by assessment of appropriate soaking temperature. For this purpose hot compression tests on Gleeble 1500D thermomechanical simulator were carried out where special deformation procedure was applied. This extend temperature range of safe hot working, i.e. on lower as well as at upper temperature limit. Second step of cracking avoiding refers to change of shape of calibers. For this purpose rhombus with box calibers were replaced.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1621855In the present contribution two tests for thermal fatigue testing, which have been developed in our group, are presented. The first one has internal cooling and second one has external cooling. Both tests have computer guided heating and cooling of tested samples that consequently enables obtaining very reliable results. The first test is more appropriate for testing the material itself, i.e. the influence of processing parameters of material production and its chemical composition, in order to find optimal results. The second test is more appropriate for conducting experiments aimed for selection of appropriate tool surface treatment, i.e. welding, laser cladding, nitriding, coating, etc. in order to compare and to achieve improved resistance against thermal fatigue of produced surface layers.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1635167The paper presents an application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process for justication of new technologies used for acquiring principal geometry data of railway tracks. The Analytic Hierarchy Process is a multicriteria decision-making approach for solving complex problems, where the final decision is based on evaluation of number of alternatives based on number of criteria and sub criteria. Presented is also a new way of calculating weights in AHP method. The NTF algorithm is a method that simplifies the calculation of Eigen vector and Eigen value of comparison matrix and make it more transparent The results of the performed study show that the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process method can help to effectively evaluate different technologies used for acquiring track geometry data and additional data acquired by measuring equipment.
