Web-based service MojGozdar

This article presents web-based information system, intended for assessing the quality of forestry work per- formance. Web-based information system, called MojGozdar, represents and innovative approach to a more transparent service market. MojGozdar offers support in the search for forestry services like motor saw felling, harvesting by tractor, silvicultural works, cable harvesting, machine felling, wood chip production (chipper), and forest construction. At the moment, the system incorporates over a thousand providers, offering diverse forestry services. MojGozdar system will cover a three-level assessment of the service providers in a simple, clear, and objective way. On the first level, all included service performers get a legal/formal suitability assessment following the traffic lights principle. Professional assessment by a professional qualified assessor represents the second assessment level. The main principle of an independent professional assessment will be sustainable forest management and achievement of a higher standard in social, economic, and environmental aspects of work execution. Service providers, who legally and formally meet the basic conditions, i.e. who were assessed as adequate in the first assessment level, can be incorporated into the second level. The third assessment level is intended for the customers to present their experiences or opinion about the quality of the provided services. The comprehensive assessment system should increase the motivation among the forestry work providers in competition and quality performance of works in forests. At the same time, this is a comprehensive system for providers' quality objective assessment, also of the additional possibility for evaluating offers for work in state owned forests, where the lowest offered price is the only guidance at the moment.
