A working tool for a kitchen appliance, adapted to be rotationally driven, consisting of two or more blades for food processing, wherein at least one blade consists of the inside part of the blade and the outside part of the blade, and in which each inside part of the blade is in contact with the holder, while the plane of the inside part of the blade is substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis, and each outside part of the blade is in the vicinity of the wall of the processing vessel, while its plane is substantially parallel to the rotation axis.

COBISS.SI-ID: 15849243This elaborate introduces a modelling framework of an innovative degradation model of PEM fuel cells (FC) for analyses of degradation processes over longer time scales in non-deterministic transient operating regimes. Innovativeness of the generic structure of the modelling framework arises from the fact that degradation of particular components of the membrane-electrolyte assembly of the PEM FC, as for example reduced activity of the catalyst, is not modelled by a lumped model but rather by the coupled chain of degradation models of selected degradation mechanisms of which all contribute to the overall degradation of the FC. Additionally, generic modelling framework allows for introduction of various models of selected degradation mechanisms as well as their full interaction, which is a crucial future proof feature of the modelling framework. Furthermore, such a structure of the modelling framework is crucial for analyses of FC degradation when operated in non-deterministic transient operating regimes, which is crucial for more efficient virtual development of stationary and mobile fuel cell based systems.

COBISS.SI-ID: 15565595In the thesis, a concept of a small portable power unit with an integrated methanol steam reformer (MSR) and a high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell (HT PEMFC) stack has been developed. A reactor was designed to use a highly active state-of-the-art MSR catalyst. Based on experimental data, gathered by measurements of individual characteristics of the MSR and the HT PEMFC stack, an innovative hybrid numerical model was developed which was used to calculate mass and energy flows and the efficiency of the integrated system. Experimental and numerical results confirm the feasibility of the autothermic energy system. Guidelines for the construction of the prototype integrated system are presented.

F.30 Professional assessment of the situation
COBISS.SI-ID: 15621403The goal of biological waste-water treatment is a stepwise oxidation of organic pollutants aiming to achieve complete mineralization. Numerous wastewater constituents are persistent to biodegradation, hence other abiotic treatment processes are being investigated - also cavitation. In present industrial practice of waste water treatment cavitation is not present. Although some laboratory experiments exist, the methods have not been applicable to practical use. The research activities were therefore directed to acquire additional knowledge and experience on theoretical level and finally promote their transfer to applicative level, together with development of new technologies. We have shown the possibility of energy and environmentally acceptable water treatment by cavitation. We have successfully removed pharmaceuticals, cyanobacterias, algae, bacteria Legionella and were the first who showed the possibility of virus inactivation, all by cavitation. The project was concluded with an invitation for a scientific paper in a special issue of the journal Ultrasonic Sonochemistry (Cleaning with Bubbles), in which the most important conclusions of our experimental work are collected. The results were presented in 8 peer reviewed scientific papers and 4 patents, which were cited more than 200 times. Also, the successful ERC-CoG grant (CABUM) by Matevž Dular bases on the findings of this work.
