Ibuprofen increased bilirubin neurotoxicity by interacting with albumin- bilirubin complex
We showed that ibuprofen can displace bilirubin from the complex albumin-bilirubin. Increased concentrations of bilirubin were neurotoxic on the studied neuroblastoma cell lines, while astrocytes were not affected.
