Professor Hrovatin chaired the International Programme Committee and served as a General Conference Chair of a globally-known and reputable conference in energy economics Energy Challenges for the Next Decade organised in August 2019 at the SEB LU in Ljubljana. The conference organisers were SEB LU, IAEE (International Association for Energy Economics) and SAEE (Slovenian Association for Energy Economics). Dr. Zorić was the Chair of Organisation Committee and dr. Švigelj of the Local Organizing Committee, where young researchers Dolšak and Jovović were members. 32 outstanding plenary speakers and eight chairs addressed addressed the most topical issues in all fields of energy economics. The conference attracted 300 participants from 41 countries. Researchers presented their research findings in 49 concurrent sessions. In the opening session the opening speeches were delivered by the minister of infrastructure Alenka Bratušek, the president of the Energy Chamber Marjan Eberlinc, president of the IAEE Christophe Bonnery and dean of SEB LU Metka Tekavčič. A PhD day for doctorate students was organised before the conference and a full day Post- Conference Workshop followed the closure of the conference where a distinguished professor in energy economics, Richard Green from the Imperial College, London delivered the lectures.

The term ‘’responsustable’’ tourism is suggested to join the concept and action and demonstrate that the current understanding of responsible tourism action is based on the concept of sustainable tourism. Is anti-tourism an expected reaction to a failure of sustainable tourism policies? Will anti-tourism do a job that sustainable-responsible tourism failed to perform?

COBISS.SI-ID: 25110246Our research group has partnered with a number of distinguished universities from Italy, UK, France, Switzerland, Germany, US and Chile (this included Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, SPRU - University of Sussex and the Initiative for Policy Dialogue at Columbia University). The results of the project were disseminated through a number of publications and conferences. They were recognized as important for the socio-economic development of EU at the final conference of the project in Brussels, where they were presented to the Research Executive Agency and to the European Parliament. European Commission has highlighted ISIGrowth project as an example of a best practice project. They have also pointed out that the solutions proposed by the project's researchers can help EU to spur innovation, decrease inequality and unemployment, and lead to sustainable growth.
