The final report first presents the results and findings of studies from individual parts of the project in a condensed form. The report also presents recommendations for improving the position of Roma in the field of education, with an emphasis on secondary and tertiary education in Slovenia. The recommendations are based on the opinions of educated members of the Roma community on the one hand and representatives of secondary schools, adult education institutions and organizations working with Roma in Roma settlements on the other. At the end of the report, concluding thoughts on the key findings of the project are summarized.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14179661The study identified factors that affect the (non-) inclusion and (un-) success of Roma in the educational process at all levels of regular and adult education in Slovenia - as perceived by members of the Roma community in Slovenia. Due to the close connection of the educational vertical from kindergarten to university level, it analyzes the position of Roma at all these levels of education, and connects the area of their inclusion and success in education with broader social, economic, cultural-linguistic circumstances from which Roma high school students and students arise.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14179149The study identifies factors that, in the opinion of representatives of educational institutions and organizations that are regularly present in the Roma community, affect the (non-) inclusion and (un-) success of Roma in the educational process at all levels of regular and adult education in Slovenia. The focus is on high schools, universities and adult education institutions. The perceived factors open up a whole range of areas in which state intervention would be possible and necessary to improve the situation.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14179405The study examines the attitude of Roma towards secondary and university education and adult education from various perspectives. In general, in the field of Roma attitudes towards education, it seems that it largely depends on the family environment, specifically on the encouragement, support and motivation of children by their parents. Parents for whom education is not a value also do not encourage and motivate their children to successfully complete primary school and enroll in secondary school. There are often links between environments where the real employment opportunities of the Roma are poor and the poor educational level of the Roma there.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14178637The purpose of the study was to examine the attitude of educational institutions higher than the primary school level towards the Roma who are educated there. As part of the study of this relationship, we considered two aspects based on online surveys and interviews: a) types or ways of attracting potential Roma students to secondary school programs and types or ways of helping Roma who are educated in these programs; b) perceptions of Roma who are in education or have been educated about the attitude of secondary education institutions towards them. In the second part of the study, we were interested in how Roma who are educated / educated, perceive and experience the attitude of secondary education institutions towards themselves and also towards other Roma students.
