Methodology for determining the type of business zones in Slovenia taking into account functional, spatial and environmental aspects

The article presents a methodology for defining business zone categories in Slovenia. Taking into account the proposal of criteria and related indicators, business zones were classified into four categories - business zones of national, regional, inter-municipal and local importance, and appropriate policies for promoting development were proposed for each category.

The article presents proposals for criteria for spatial planning of business zones in Slovenia at national, regional and sub-regional level, which cover criteria in the field of transport infrastructure. Examples of long-term spatial planning of business zones in Slovenia are presented.

The article presents a proposal for a system for determining business zone categories in Slovenia. Functional, spatial and environmental aspects are taken into account. Criteria and indicators are proposed to describe the factors of attracting and preventing the development of business zones.
