In the paper the influence of optimal and deficit drip irrigation on the quality of hop yield (?-acid content) is evaluated. The two-year field trial was conducted in a split plot design and included two technical irrigation methods (irrigation at the top of the hop trellis and on the ridge) and different amounts of irrigation water (full, deficit, and non-irrigation). Irrigation was carried out according to the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO) forecast. The results showed that the yield of ?-acids on the experimental plots was higher in 2017. Statistically significant differences in hop yield quality were observed only during two considered years and not between treatments with different technical irrigation methods and the amount of applied water. The weather conditions were not optimal in any of the experimental years to determine the impact of full and deficit irrigation on the quality of hop yield.
