At the professional event with the workshop for a larger number of stakeholders from forestry, nature conservation and other professions, the lecture presented the possibilities of non-native tree species in the restoration of Slovenian forests. Possible threats were also presented. The activities and objectives of the CRP project were presented. The presentations were followed by a broad discussion on the potentials and risks of non-native tree species.

COBISS.SI-ID: 31684355In a long interview for Radio Slovenia an author spoke about current issues of management and restoration of Slovenian forests. Among other things, the interviewee talked about the opportunities offered by non-native tree species in forest restoration after the 2014 ice break, after the subsequent beetle infestation, and in adapting to climate change. Among the non-native tree species with good potential, the Douglas fir was particularly prominent.
