Using different gases in experiments, we demonstrated that observations of sequent phases of nanomaterial conversions are possible with the in-situ holder. This was done for the vertically aligned carbon nanotubes, terminated by nanosized single-crystal metallic Ni grains, and conversions to sulfides. These modifications also have practical applications in energy storage systems. Results were published in ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces.

Unrevealing the interactions of ionised He gas jets with liquids, we established that discharge of flowing gas completely changes the interaction system and even stabilises the unstable liquid surfaces or even movements inside a liquid. With detailed experimental and theoretical modelling of the interaction system, we established that the stabilisation of liquids is the results of electrohydrodynamic force generated in the system. The results were published in the journal Nature.
