Tomaž Rijavec was awarded with the most prestigious student award in Slovenija – University Prešeren Award 2005, which is given for the excellence in scientific research. His research was focused on the bacterial endophytes in maize caryopses and results were published in the journal indexed in SCI. His mentor was Marina Dermastia from the program team.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1749327In the course of the program The Ljubljana Botanic Garden affiliated to the University of Ljubljana was headed by the member of the program team Jože Bavcon. The excellent work of the garden was exposed in the book Botanic Gardens a Living History, published by Black Dog Publishing Limited. in 2007. It describes 10 % of the most influencing botanic gardens on the world, which also include Ljubljana Botanic garden.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1813583Four members of the program team co-wrote the fourth edition of the professional monograph “Little flora of Slovenia”. The book is the most comprehensive work on wild and naturalized flora of Slovenia together with completely renewed determination keys. It represents a standard work for this part of Europe and is commonly used and cited in articles dealing with Slovenian plant in the fields of botany, floristics, biogeography, taxonomy, forestry, agronomy or protection of nature.
