A system for automatic control of a new testing line has been designed and implemented in the Slovenian company Danfoss Trata d.o.o. The line is used for testing and assessment of various components used in district-heating systems, designed and produced by Danfoss multinational Corporation. The control system includes all necessary control functions that allow save automatic operation of the testing line and simulation of real district-heating conditions. Together with the supervisory system enables performing and automatic documentation of experiments under completely equal conditions.

The Technology Network connects ten engineering enterprises in the areas of automation and the IT support, and 3 academic institutions. In recent years we have contributed substantially to the management and coordination of two large projects that were co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, namely the project Advanced Control Technologies for Increasing Competitiveness, and the Centre of Excellence for Advanced Control Technologies.

COBISS.SI-ID: 20696103In cooperation with the enterprise Domel, Železniki, we have finished our research and development, and put into operation three diagnostic systems for end-quality assessment of electrical motors on production lines. The work encompasses two diagnostic systems for the quality control of vacuum cleaner motors in Domel, Železniki (on production line ML-8 and on line ML-10), and one diagnostic system on a semi-automated assembly line in Domel, China . The accomplished diagnostic systems present unique solutions worldwide, and sets new higher standards for product quality control in the factory.
F.10 Improvements to an existing technological process or technology
COBISS.SI-ID: 18875175The programme package is based on some of the most common tuning methods, and on methods which were in the past developed in the frame of our research programme. The developed tool enables automatic tuning of PID controllers, Smith predictors, and is currently being extended to tune also simple predictive and multivariable controllers. Tuning of controllers parameters is based on manual or automatic experiment on the process. By using the programme package, the closed-loop performance is improved and thus energy and material consumption is reduced.
F.06 Development of a new product
COBISS.SI-ID: 21118247A 12 channel Cardio&BrainSignals measuring system was developed that enables measuring of ECG, brain activity (EEG), respiratory effort, blood pressure measured on a finger, temperature, skin conductivity, and some other auxiliary measurements. Acquisition and signal conditioning of measured variables is performed by a PC connected to the device via USB. The measuring system represents the key research equipment for studies of the correlation between the couplings of oscillators in the human body and the depth of anaesthesia . The device is currently used in Lancaster, Oslo and Ljubljana.
