This research indicates the possibilities for the control and prevention of the AlN powder hydrolysis. Fundamental understanding of the hydrolysis reactions allowe us to develop a novel process for forming of nanostructured alumina coatings on ceramic substrates.

COBISS.SI-ID: 15901440In cooperation with AET d.o.o. the critical factors for the preparation of ceramic powders were determined, and on their basis new parameters for milling and homogenization were defined. The new regime of milling and homogenization of the ceramic powders will enable the production of ceramic products in a narrower dimension tolerance range, together with improved economical efficiency and decreased effect on the environment. The contribution is important form the stand point of understanding and implementation of the shaping techniques for the production of the green ceramic bodies.
