The symposiums were carried out from 15th to 17th June 2006 in Ljubljana. Scientific programme of the symposiums included 8 plenary lectures, 85 lectures, 73 posters and the round table discusion which were presented by 180 researchers from 21 countries. This event represented an important international meeting of researchers from the fields of textiles, graphics and color science.

COBISS.SI-ID: 226836992Use of CAD/CAM in weaving offers advantages for producers from areas with high labor costs to be competitive with those with low labor costs. Local production for local needs as a major benefit will also keep knowledge on these areas. There are possibilities to incorporate byres in the designing and to enlarge the selling by internet or other kind of electronic media. Present and future possibilities for mass customization in weaving regarding technological, traditional, and economic trends.are analysed. The possible bottle necks in the future woven fabric production is appointed.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1943408Relevant phase of the analysis of oligomer content using GPC was finished and new aspect of correct running of thermostabilization phase of polyester fabric under tension was determined. Thermostabilisation of fabrics under tension lead to the decrease of migration of oligomers to the surface of fabric later in HT dyeing processes. The achievement was turned to Velana d.d., patented together and is used there. Easy processing means substantial saving at manufacturing of low priced polyesters in HT dyeing. From the point of economical wiev it means cost benefit at the quantity of material used.
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 1944688The possibility given by the use of modern CAD/CAM technology for production of unique and small range products with equal or lower prices as the regular ranges products is presented. Such approach allows the preservation of this kind of production in developed world that result also in keeping and further development of knowledge in textile production.
