On December the 3rd 2005 our group organized The first Slovene scientific conference on landscape planning. The purpose of the conference was to make a review and an evaluation of research achievements on this field in Slovenia, and to plan further research. 15 researchers presented their papers. The conference has shown, that the majority of the researches are prepared mostly for the needs of state planning and legislation. We can conclude that in order to achieve international approval, redirection towards more basic research problems will have to be made.
