Vinko Potočnik presents in this introductory contribution, together with Igor Bahovec, the contents of the monograph by Thomas Luckmann, the internationally recognized scholar in the field of social sciences. The editorial work of the main writings by Thomas Luckmann was very demanding in terms of scholarly judgments and organisation. The editors selected representative texts from the main fields of Luckmann's scholarly contributions, not yet published in Slovene, and took care of appropriate translation, bibliography and presentation of author's scholarly curriculum.

Prof. Dr. Metod Benedik is also editor of the important series Acta Ecclesiastica Sloveniae, published by the Theological Faculty of the University of Ljubljana.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3961434The paper presents the first findings of the research by the author on interrelated motifs of longing, weakness and temptation in world literature based on the methodological principle of intertextuality. The main concern of the research is to show how the bordelines between tradition and artistic originality are delineated by comparative folklore. The author received then an invitation from the Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Newcastle upon Tyne, to prepare a monograph on this topic. The monograph was finished in the end of 2008 and published in Feburary 2009 (321 pages).

COBISS.SI-ID: 27564077The paper is the presidential address by Jože Krašovec who was President of the IOSOT from 2004 to 2007 and President of the Organizing Committee of the XIXth Congress of IOSOT. This congress was an event of exceptional importance that never before happened in any Slavic country. The presidential address was presented in the framework of the Biblical Festival in Pogačarjev Trg on 15 July 2007. The shortened paper summarizes results of a long-term research in the development of the forms of biblical proper names from the antiquity until the present time within the European languages.

It is based on vocabulary and content of the Old Testament and some other writers, as Philo of Alexandria, Josephus Flavius and Tacitus. Matjaž presented the results of his inestigation in the XIXth IOSOT Congress and has been included in the Proceedings edited by Professors Mathias Augustin and Hemann Michael Niemann from the University Rostock. Jože Krašovec wrote for the Proceedings a Preface in the role of the President of the XIXth IOSOT Congress.
