The renowned German theological journal Publik Forum 8/2005 ranked the book as “book of the month”. It analyzes the Catholic Church and modern globalized society. In the review, the author’s multidisciplinary approach is praised, since it advocates the inclusion of Christians into postmodern globalizing relations and deals with Christian values in in this society. The book has been cited in numerous articles and studies at home and abroad. The reviewer said, “the book is an important contribution to a fair positioning of Slovenian Church as a part of civic society in the postmodern situation”.
In the article, the state of freedom as the fundamental value of society and the Church is discussed, from the point of view of the postcommunist political situation in Slovenia. Emphasizing the difficulties concerning the implementation of civic freedom in postcommunist countries, Josef Tischner speaks about „the uneasy gift of freedom“, which becomes actual in the relationship between the Church authority and state. The contribution of the author was included in a book by the German publishing house Herder, and was given much attention. It has been quoted by two coauthors.
About the dialogue with an emphasis on societal processes and in families. The presentation in ET (200 attendees from 19 countries) was influential, as in TV and Delo. In May 2008, Juhant organized a colloquium (Research Institute of Imam Khomeini Qom); in June, Žalec an colloquium (Kontatktstelle für Weltreligionen Vienna) in Celje. Juhant ranks among top experts in this field was invited to projects of German Research Foundation and an inter-religious culture of dialogue at EU level.
The book contains a thorough review of the fundamental ideological and axiological developments in Slovenia, starting with the formation of the Slovenian nation in the European context and ending with current challenges that Slovenian Christians face after the fall of the Communist regime and the rise of liberalism. The volume appeared in the Europa 2020 series and gives voice to Slovenian philosophical and axiological traditions in the European context.
The work deals with the biblical archetyps in their meaning for the modern educaional processes. The book came out twice in one year, because it was sold quickly. It is translated in German and appears in three volumes by Don Bosco Verlag Munnich. The first volume (the pedagogical and psychological interpretation of the book Tobit) appeared in october 2008 titled wenn the perents will be blind.
