Paper describes the contemporary concepts of biocompatibility testing for stomatological materials. These tests have the base in existing ISO standards and are results of multidisciplinary investigations. The combinations of greater numbers “in vivo” and “in vitro” tests enable the real estimation of stomatological material’s negative effects, especially those which are in longer contacts with alive tissue for longer period.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11990294Paper describes the development of new dental alloys with high Au content. The basis for developing a new dental alloy with high Au content is appropriate chemical composition and manufacturing technology. The demands which have to be achieved were connected with the necessary applications conditions for porcelain technique. The main conditions were: mechanical properties (yield strength, tensile strength, elongation), hardness, a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and biocompatibility.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10637334We have prepared two experimental Au-Pt-Zn high noble alloys with the aim of Zn influence determination on the formatted microstructure which is consequently responsible for the final properties such noble dental alloys. A slightly higher Zn content for 0.2 w.% in Au-Pt-Zn II alloy is important for better bonding strength between porcelain and alloy and better mechanical properties for the tooth`s metalic substitute. The Au-Pt-Zn II alloy produces a richer yellow colour, which plays an important role in aesthetics when used for PFM (porcelain-fused-to-metal) restorations.

COBISS.SI-ID: 12590102Paper describes the ageing process of dental alloys, which are one of the numerous types of stomatological materials. In the first part the basis and the important characteristics of ageing process are introduced. In the second part the dental alloys (noble and base) are presented. These alloys are primary aimed for different tooth constructions. In continuation on the base of numerous references the ageing process is described. This process occurs in mouth at 37°C, after that the tooth substitute is incorporated into mouth.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11323414The subject of the invention is a process of manufacturing dental alloy with high Au content. Technical problem, which solves the invention is the production of dental alloys with the chemical composition of 77 m.% Au, 1.2% Pd m., 4.5 m.% Pt, 10% Ag m., 6 m.% Cu, 1.3 Zn. The process of manufacture is carried out by the case delivered a precise sequence of the processes, in which plates of Au dental alloys, the required dimensions and properties, can be made. The process of producing Au dental alloy consists of a melting, casting and procedures of the cold-forming of casted preform.
