The developed driver enables dynamical illumination of the inspected objects with eight different setups at the frequency of up to 80 kHz, which enables efficient and well-controlled image acquisition with 10 kHz line-scan video cameras. The illumination can be controlled via personal computer so that optimal and specific illumination for objects with various geometrical and material properties can be achieved.
F.06 Development of a new product
The LED driver enables stable illumination in terms of intensity and color, which is independent of the degradation and temperature dependencies of individual LEDs. The proposed driver adjusts the current of individual LEDs, according to the intensity and color of the emitted light, it can process external signals in real-time, trigger the cameras and drive polychromatic LED light sources. As such, the driver provides a flexible, highly stable and homogeneous LED illumination for demanding machine vision systems.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6429268The developed mechanical prototype with transportation system enables automatic and controlled delivery of tablets in the fields of view of video camera and spectrometer, and thereby, high quality acquisition of images of the inspected objects. The system is adaptable to various shapes and sizes of tablets and is, therefore, a good prototype for the development of industrial mechanical manipulation system.
F.08 Development and manufacture of a prototype
The developed light source is composed of high-intensity LEDs, which are carefully spatially distributed so as to achieve well-controlled illumination. The light source was designed specifically for the line-scan cameras. When combined with the driver for structured-dynamic illumination, the developed light source enables high flexibility and, thereby, better adaptability of the machine vision systems.
