22 Slovenian researchers from the field of historiography, philosophy and sociology confronted their views on the conceptual shifts in Slovenian historiography and its European context. Different methodological approaches and theoretical origins of the historiography were also discussed. Special attention was paid to the public and political use of history and to the responsibility for historiography, which is related to it.

His whole bibliography holdy morevthan 1080 publications, including many books, treatises, studies and catalogues, reviews, surveys and evaluations. In 2006 he has recieved a Zupancic Reward for the achievements on the cultural field and has been elected as a president of the Slovenska matica, the first Slovenian scientific and cultural association.
