COBISS.SI-ID: 23080231A new standard method was developed for CEN for the determination of mercury deposition in clean and contaminated environments. This is the basis for the new EU standard method prepared by the WG 25.
F.23 Development of new system-wide, normative and programme solutions, and methods
COBISS.SI-ID: 23357223Cement plant of the Salonit Anhovo was selected to study mercury behavior and partitioning in the process of cement clinker production and to establish mass balance model. The study suggests some potentials for the improvement of mercury emissions control and reduction incemnet production facilities.
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 21898535EU mercury strategy primarily intends to reduce the emission of mercury from stationary point sources. A number of activities are envisaged. The PI was actively involved in this process sat the EU level, and presented the work at the MC-4 meeting in Japan. The meeting resulted in the creation of new ideas for the UNEP partnership programme on mercury reduction from cement production sector.
