Beside dairy traits, sheep product also lambs. Lifetime production is measured by number ant total weight of lambs. The paper covers comparison of Bovec and Improved Bovec sheep, which have different body weigt. Without correction on metabolic weight, differences of lifetime production were quit large, while after correction breeds were more comparable.

Lifetime production of suckler cows is presented by number and total weight of their calves. The paper covers estimation of genetic parameters for weight at birth, at beginning, in the middle, at the end of grazing season, and at the age of one year for Charolais calves. Multi-trait mixed model was used. Heritabilities were estimated between 0.23 and 0.62. Genetic correlations were mediate to high (0.43-0.97).

Growth of calves is affected by direct and maternal additive genetic effect, specially soon after birth. The paper presents estimated direct and maternal heritabilities by multitrait mixed model for calves of Charolais breed. Direct heritability for weight decreased from birth (0.74) to age of one year (0.23). However, maternal heritability inceased from 0.04 to 0.12 over time. Genetic correlations among direct and maternal components were mostly negative.

Lifetime production of dairy sheep is measured by total milk yeald, total weight of proteins and fat. As beginning of genetic evaluation of lifetime production, dispersion parameters for milk traits of three Slovenian dairy sheep breeds were estimated based on test-day records. Heritabilities varied between 0.08 for fat content and 0.11 for daily milk yield. Genetic corrleation beetwen fat and protein conten was high (0.67).

For Holstein breed, three methods of breeding value estimation of longevity were compared: proportional hazard model (PHM), multitrait sire model (SMT) and multitrait animal model (AMT). Heritability by PHM was 0.18, while by SMT and AMT estimates varied between 0.05 and 0.17 and between 0.08 and 0.19. Correlations among predictions by SMT and AMT on one side and PHM on the other side were low. This shows that methods for prediction of direct longevity are not equivalent.
