In this and in the three additional contibutions in Gozdarski vestnik, forestry supplement of the journal Kmetovalec and on internet, we informed professional and general public about the new disease of ash in our country and about the possibilities to control it. We advised ceasing of ash planting, ceasing of its promotion by tending measures and replacing of ash with maples in forests. Thus we transferred the most important research results into practice and into forests.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2212774With this report we informed Phytosanitary Administration of RS about the first find of the fungus Mycosphaerella dearnessii, which is the cause of Lecanosticta needle blight of pine and is on EPPO A2 list, No. 22 and on EU Council Directive No. 200/29/ES, II/A1 (as Scirrhia acicola). Every country is obliged to control this harmful organism. With this find and notification to the state agency we made a contribution to forest health and to the planning of control measures.
