Barbara Murovec: Terminology and Iconography: paper read at the 3rd conference of Slovene art historians.

Besides organizing the conference about art history terminology, the authoress read a paper about the terminological issues related to iconography, particularly about the question of Slovene titles of some mythological and religious motifs, mainly uniform in foreign literature. She presented several concrete examples, among others also the question of names of cardinal virtues. Emphasized was the necessity of the translation of foreign lexica into Slovene, since in this way the basis would be provided for the uniformity of Slovene terminology in the fine arts and architecture.

Ana Lavrič: Iconography of Sacred Art in Baroque Ljubljana: paper read at the international symposium.

Presentation of iconographic themes typical of the Baroque Ljubljana, which were, on the one hand, conditioned mainly by the introduction of the cults of new saints or those that had been unknown in Carniola before (e.g. Anthony of Padua, John of Nepomuk, Filippo Neri, etc.), and, on the other hand, by the revival of the worship of old saints, chielfy those that were related to the ancient Aemona (Maxim of Aemona, Pelagius, etc.). The Ljubljana Baroque thus appears to be an interesting intertwinement of universal and specific, i.e. local, contents.
