The forum of the Roman Celeia is only partly researched. Its position was indeterminable for several centuries. In this district the architectural remains showed a characteristic Roman urban scheme with larger residential complexes according to Italic models. Speculations and conclusions about the position were confirmed by georadar measurements and rescue sounding by the IPCHS, regional office Celje in 2002. This kind of research and measurements are applicable also for Mediterranean and important for safe-guarding and valorisation of the cultural heritage (eg. Simon`s Bay, Izola).

The member of project group was as a specialist invited to collaborate by interpretation of the material from the roman cemetery from Bakar (Adriatic). The analysis and research of the material resulted in numerous new data about trade, production and use of glass material on the Adriatic coast and in its hinterland. Trade routes of the Roman glass industry that used navigable routes along the E. Adriatic coast, enabled imports from Mediterranean and Asia Minor as well as ordering of valuable items from specialized ateliers in Egypt.

The house of S. Pompeius Axiochus is a rich domus with atrium and viridarium in the Regio VI of Pompeii. Through the analytic study of wall structures, decorations and finds it was possible to reconstruct the building history of the house, whose first construction phase goes back to the 2nd Century BC; in the time of the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, the fifth and last building phase was just in progress. The contribution testifies the scientific relevance and effectiveness of basic methodologies, like systematic analytic cataloguing, for the comprehension of cultural monuments.

Martino’s vole is a phylogenetic relict. Species displays both restricted distribution and low density. It occupies only patches of suitable habitat and probably has a typical metapopulation structure. The conservation status is low, regardless of its classification as “lower risk–near threatened” in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals, “rare” in European lists, and “data deficient” at a national scale. The identification of biodiversity targets significant for the assessment of biodiversity in Europe's top hot spot in species richness and it is important for natural heritage of Slovenia.
