The forum of the Roman Celeia is only partly researched. Its position was indeterminable for several centuries. In this district the architectural remains showed a characteristic Roman urban scheme with larger residential complexes according to Italic models. Speculations and conclusions about the position were confirmed by georadar measurements and rescue sounding by the IPCHS, regional office Celje in 2002. This kind of research and measurements are applicable also for Mediterranean and important for safe-guarding and valorisation of the cultural heritage (eg. Simon`s Bay, Izola).

Martino’s vole is a phylogenetic relict. Species displays both restricted distribution and low density. It occupies only patches of suitable habitat and probably has a typical metapopulation structure. The conservation status is low, regardless of its classification as “lower risk–near threatened” in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals, “rare” in European lists, and “data deficient” at a national scale. The identification of biodiversity targets significant for the assessment of biodiversity in Europe's top hot spot in species richness and it is important for natural heritage of Slovenia.
