PODOBNIKAR, Tomaž, ŠKOFIC, Jožica, HORVAT, Mojca. Areas of local dialects for Slovenian linguistic atlas determination

In the study the determination of the local speeches areas in the SLA with support of modelling in GIS is presented. The determination of the local speeches areas would enable more precise and automatic linguistic cartography with isoglosses on the borders between the local speeches and also dialectometrical analysis of gathered material.

JAKOP, Tjaša. The dual in Slovene dialects

The monograph represents schematic analytical-synthetic dialectological work on the dual. Part I provides grammatical, morphological and historical background to the dual and it takes a close look at previous researches. On 26 linguistic maps for SLA the different ways in which Slovenian dialects use the dual are presented. The comments show the differences between the dual system of the literary language and different types of dual found in the dialects. The data suggest that the geographical extent of dual forms has not significantly narrowed up to the present day.

ŠKOFIC, Jožica. Dialectal words in Pleteršnik's dictionary and in the material, gathered for SLA

The article presents dialectal words for different colours of hair in Slovenian Linguistic Atlas (SLA). One part of the commentary to the SLA maps will present the noted dialectal lexemes and their meanings in Slovenian common and dialectal, etymological and historical dictionaries. The article consequently demonstrates, how useful for linguistic analysis are the data about the accent, pronunciation, origins, geographical spread and illustration of these words in Pleteršnik's Slovenian-German Dictionary from the end of the 19. century.
