To present the research activities to the general public, we have prepared an exhibition on the processing and analysis of laser scanning data, which was carried out to monitor residues of past human activities in the landscape in the surroundings of Besancon, France. The exhibition, which contained a description of technology as well as the interpretation and the broader historical context, was on display at the Science fair (Fete de la Science) in Besancon.

COBISS.SI-ID: 28495661Algorithm REIN has been awarded among 40 best innovations in 2007 at the Slovenian Innovation Forum. It produces a very precise DEM in a steep forested terrain that typically presents a big problem for other techniques that separate ground returns from vegetation returns in lidar data. REIN therefore enables quality studies of terrain regardless of the presence of forest.
