Divisions and struggles of the Slovenian journalistic guild : a case study of contemporary European journalism

Recent government attempts to control and censor the media in Slovenia were met with a lot of resistance from the public and the journalists themselves. Given the recent global changes of linguistic production and capitalist mode of production in general, guild organisation of journalists and classical journalistic ethics both begin to look problematic, since they fail to take into account the newly emerged class divisions between employed and freelance journalists.
