National Institute of Chemistry as a member of the virtual European laboratory for lithium ion batteries is a member of consortium which includes international »Erasmus Mundus« school - Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion. Project leader was thesis advisor for the French student Jeremy COME, who successfully finished master study with a defence of thesis " LiMn2O4 composites for higher power Li-ion batteries " in September 2009 in Amiens (France). He is continuing with his PhD study at the University of Toulouse.

COBISS.SI-ID: 244460544National Institute of Chemistry was a host institution for a traditional meeting SLONANO 2009 in october 2009: This meeting was organised for researchers that are working on the field of chemistry, physics and other fields. This year conference was specialy devoted to the filed of ¨Nanomaterials for energy storage and conversion¨and to ˝Bionanotechnology¨. Organizers of the conference invited several top level world researchers from the devoted fields and this was a motivation for mainly younger collegaues to present their works from different fields of nanotechnology.
