COBISS.SI-ID: 40828002Slovenian rural areas are characterised by continuous long-term underdeveloped entrepreneurship. The paper analyses two forms of entrepreneurship in rural areas: traditional small-size entrepreneurship (three rural case study areas) and the phenomenon of business zones in Slovenian rural areas – they are supposed to introduce new working places, fresh capital investments and therefore bring new impulses for rural areas revitalisation. For rural areas of former Yugoslav republics (confronting with enormous structural problems and integration to EU) Slovenian experiences could be of use.
