Invited lecture at the biannual symposium GIS in Slovenia 2009-2010. In this study we apply visual methodology to monitor land cover changes of urban areas in the Central Slovenia region. We employ multitemporal Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM)/ Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) images from 1992, 1999 and 2005. Visual interpretation of change detection has been performed using RGB – NDVI methodology.

COBISS.SI-ID: 7399252Two space related projects are presented. The first is dedicated to M5 modeling of MEMS microthrusters for advanced maneuvering of small satellites in formation flying missions. The M5 models are being developed and calibrated in collaboration with Swedish company NanoSpace. The second project is performed in the scope of ESA-SURE-021 programme and is dedicated to inverse M5 analyses of a biophysical experiment where influences of the space environment on visco-elastic skin properties and tactile perceptions will be examined for astronauts that are employed in long term ISS missions.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1022559For the development of small satellite technologies an advanced RTD infrastructure will be set up including a multidisciplinary laboratory for closed loop investigations of materials, structures, micropropulsion systems, electronic components and visual based control algorithms in simulated space environments. The experimental techniques will be combined with virtual models for primal and sensitivity analyses of components, subsystems and platforms as well as for their characterisation by inverse numerical analyses and optimisation of their design with respect to performance and reliability.
