A generalized model has been developed for calculating the distribution of the analytes with integer and non-integer effective charge. The model facilitates the calculation of chromatograms for isocratic and gradient separations. It has been shown that peak-assimetry can be obtained solely due to a certain ratio of selectivity coefficients, which introduces new arguments against the previously accepted theory of non-ideal behaviour of analytes in IC.

COBISS.SI-ID: 24943360CVM fibers are treated in 32 experiments under the conditions as proposed by the Design of Experiment, varying five influencing factors. FFBN method projects the 32 objects from 5-dimensional space into 2-dimensional one. In the response surface one can see the influence of individual factors on the fibers' property.

COBISS.SI-ID: 4316186Although it is estimated that ~25% of proteins at a genomic scale are transmembrane proteins, they consist of only ~1.5% of the protein structures reported in Protein Data Bank (PDB). A novel approach was presented, which proved to be a successful tool for trans-membrane region prediction. The model has the potential to predict the transmembrane regions of any new protein from sequence information alone. The presented poster was awarded by first prize at CMTPI 2009 conference.
