We present a concept of a new kind of memory element, a thermal memory cell, where a byte of digital information can be stored into the storage medium by pure thermal manipulation. Thermal inscription of information employs a specific temperature–time profile that involves continuous cooling and isothermal waiting time periods in the absence of any external magnetic or electric field.

By now, four Euroschools were conducted (May 22 - 27 2006, May 21 - 26 2007, May 26 – 31 2008 and May 25 – 30 2009), in MONS Congress Center in Ljubljana. The 4th Euroschool 2009 was attended by 151 participants from 16 states (European states, Japan, Korea, India). The Euroschool budget is fully covered by the EU funds.
