Method for preparation of plant samples for studiing the element localisation.

In cooperation with synchrotron Elettra in Trieste (line TwinMic BL 1.1 L) that enables to study the localisation of elements in biological tissues with the help of low energy roentgen fluorescence spectroscopy (LEXRF), we developed a method for preparation of plant samples and studied the element localisation in the aleuron of the wheat corn.

In 2009 two Ph.D. students successfully completed their doctoral thesis under the tutoring of the member of program group. Ph. D. student gained Jesenko award of Biotechnical faculty for being the best doctoral student.

Editor of Acta Biologica Slovenica.

Acta Biologica Slovenica (former Biološki vestnik) is Slovene scientific journal, which has been publishing for more than half of the century. It published peer reviewed papers from the field of biology twice a year. Biological library distribute the journal to 188 institutions in Slovenia and world-wide, receiving other scientific journals for exchange.

Habitat survey of Cerkniško jezero.

In the framework of the project LIFE Cerkniško jezero we completed the habitat survey of Cerkniško jezero, which was the basis for accomplishment of the Management plan of this protected area.
