The journal published by the Institute of Biology publishes taxonomic, floristic, faunistic, phytosociological, biocoenological and palynological research. Hacquetia is an established journal in southeastern Europe, especially for vegetation research. Despite the short publication period it is well integrated in international scientific discussion, which manifests itself in regular citations of published papers (also in Web of Science). This seems to be especially important considering the field of focus, where research is usually long lasting. There is an increased interest from international authors to publish in Hacquetia. The journal, available on the internet site of Versita publishing house (Poland), is databased by Scopus, Cabi, and Ebsco.

This infrastructure enables the execution of the most modern analyses for the study of biodiversity, and thus plays a critical role in our ability to follow the goals of the proposed program and our strive for international scientific excellence.
