This research group was the main organizer of the international conference BLED'11 which was held at the end of June 2011. World class researchers in the area participated in this very successful event. There were 280 participants from 42 different countries. This is the biggest and one of the most renowned conferences in graph theory worldwide. It is organized once in every four years. Six members of this research program collaborated, one as the chair of the scientific committee, three as organizing committee members and two were in the advisory board of the conference.

Dragan Marušič is one of the two Founding Editors and Editors-in-Chief of the International mathematical journal ‘Ars Mathematica Contemporanea’ covered by Math. Reviews (indexed cover-to-cover), Zentralblatt MATH, COBISS, SCOPUS, Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE), Web of Science, ISI Alerting Service, and Current Contents/Physical, Chemical & Earth Sciences (CC/PC & ES). With this journal Slovenian mathematics has opened a new chapter in its development and has definitely put itself on the world map. In addition, six other members of the program (Aleksandar Jurišić, Štefko Miklavič, Aleksander Malnič, Janez Žerovnik, Alen Orbanić and Vito Vitrih) are also editors of this journal.

Computers in Scientific Discovery (CSD) was the sixth in a series that started in November 2001 with the Workshop of the DIMACS Working group on Computer-Generated Conjectures from Graph Theoretic and Chemical Databases, and extends the earlier Discrete Mathematical Chemistry workshop (1998) also held at DIMACS. CSD2, CSD3, CSD4 and CSD5 were organized in Montreal in 2004, in Ghent in 2006, in Shanghai in 2008 and in Sheffield in 2010, respectively. CSD6 was organized in Portorož. One of the keynote speakers was the Nobelist Sir Harold Kroto, see http://csd6.imfm.si.
