In three samples of sintered bearings of three different suppliers were performed chemical, microstructure and mechanical tests. Although all three bearings should have similar average chemical composition and should be made by the same conventional sinter technology, they are very different in their final functional properties. Therefore, based on the characterization made on bearings we try to analyze the causes of good or worse functional characteristics of the bearings.

This article describes the boast of austenitic stainless steel solidified structure in the presence of lead in steel. It was found that the lead droplets collect at the grain boundaries of solidified grains and cause hot brittleness of the material during hot processing.

Investigations were carried out on the influence of tungsten oxide nano-fibres in the food of experimental organisms Porcellio scaber. It was first used SEM to study the morphology of epithelial cells of the digestive system. It was found that the majority of nano- fibres pass harmless the digestive system. In some places it comes to the interaction with cells during the contraction of the digestive system. Nano-fibres pierce in the walls of cells and stay there, but some are broken off during the next contractions.
