In the field of pattern recognition we developed a procedure for earthquake prediction from concentrations of a noble gas radon. It involves distinction of concentration anomalies due to seismic activity from anomalies due to environmental parameters. Using this procedure we processed data from Krško basin for the two years period and correctly determined 10 earthquakes out of 13.

Technological and user requirements for such platforms are investigated. Software frameworks are designed for presenting e-content, performing e-learning for physicians, running e-services for clinical assessment and screening, and connecting the OPKP to the EuroFIR information platform which connects food composition databases of 49 member states.

COBISS.SI-ID: 22907431This patent solves the technical problem of storing the data in the kitchen scale and implementation of input/output unit for communication between computer and scale. The programmable device within the kitchen scale enables simple transmission and updating of personal nutrition table and nutritional data of foods into the scale. According to the estimated values of weighted foods and the carbon-hydrate ratio the insulin dose is determined, to be injected by the user to get the appropriate daily dose.

COBISS.SI-ID: 21252647In collaboration with Gorenje, d. d., we developed and designed a program tool for the simulation of temperatures inside the refrigerator. The simulator allows the simulation of temperatures inside the refrigerator at different modes of regulation. It replaces the part of the measurements, which are time consuming due to the slow thermal processes. Besides the shorter measurement time, the development costs of a refrigerator are also lowered. Next, we upgraded the simulator with an advanced optimization algorithm, to automatically find the optimal regulation of a refrigerator.

COBISS.SI-ID: 23205159We have upgraded the web application for e-learning grammar school mathematics developed in the frame of the project named ”Enhancing Elementary Mathematics Pedagogy Competencies by e-Learning” that is part of a large ESS project “Evaluation of the Slovene Education”. The decision making system, which we formalized as a combinatorial optimization problem of graph colouring, is based upon a metaheuristic optimization method.
