The aim of the project was the development of the more competitive circuit breakers with residual current protection. In the scope of the project the researches about possibility for the usage of composite magnetic materials made of micro, nano and nano structured magnetic parts at production of electromagnetic devices are done. The use of these materials will simplify the production, it will make the production cheaper, the characteristics of the products will be better, waste material from the production will be reduced or no waste material will be produced, the energy used for the production will be reduced, etc. The proposer of the project was the company ETI Elektroelement d.d. Izlake. The company Iskra Mehanizmi d.d., Lipnica was the partner in the project and the performers of the researches on the project products were IMT Ljubljana and UM FEE&CS Maribor. Project is financed by European fund for regional development and Public agency for technological development (TIA). Project was finished in the year 2011. Results of the project are: new realisation of the trip relay developed to prototype phase, registration of three patents on Office for intellectual property of the Republic of Slovenia [COBISS ID 15234582], [COBISS ID 14850582] and [COBISS ID 15235094] and registration of the international patent at European patent office.
F.08 Development and manufacture of a prototype
The program FIELD_GS_transient is designed to calculate and simulate transient conditions in vicinity of earthing systems. It is possible to make complete analysis of the electromagnetic field in the ground where grounding mesh is located, as well as above the surface of the earth. Using the appropriate upgrade this allows us the evaluation of the impact of the electromagnetic fields on the environment in accordance with the Regulation on electromagnetic radiation in the natural and living environment at very rapid electric discharges in the ground. Ionization of the earth may also be considered in the calculation with the help of the dynamic model of ionization, which represents a more realistic capture of this phenomenon according to the classical model of ionization. The program enables the analysis of an arbitrary mesh, circular or polygonal grounding system in combination with vertical and horizontal rods. Multilayer model of the earth is used, which is generated by using the genetic algorithm and the measured data of the soil resistivity with Wenner’s method. In addition, it is possible to take into account the local inhomogeneities in the earth. The program is fully interactive and allows 3D visualization of all field quantities.
F.23 Development of new system-wide, normative and programme solutions, and methods
COBISS.SI-ID: 17682966This paper firstly presents a measurement system for determining the magnetic properties of magnetic fluids, based on three pickup coils. The accuracy of the system was tested on known samples and then used for the characterization of magnetic losses (heating power P) on the magnetic fluid sample using two different methods. The first method is based on determining the hysteresis loop area and the second on determining the complex susceptibility; and showedthat both methods are equivalent. The aim of this paper was to identify the heating power of the liquid at a known value for the magnetic field, and the arbitrary temperature. Thus, we explored the actual reduction in the heating power due to the heating of the sample, which cannot be achieved without the temperature regulated heat bath using established calorimetric methods.
