The MIDEM 2009 Conference and joint Workshop on Advanced Photovoltaic Devices and Technologies continued the tradition of annual international meetings organized by the MIDEM Society. There were 6 conference sessions: Materials, technology and devices, Electronics, Optoelectronics, Thin and thick films, Integrated circuits, Sensors and actuators and in the conference workshop, where different topics related to material science combined with device engineering, advanced technologies and photovoltaic systems for efficient conversion of solar energy to electricity were covered.

COBISS.SI-ID: 7101780The patent describes the preparation of the TiO2 paste by incorporation of TiO2 nanopowder to Pechini based sol. Invention allows simple one-step deposition of TiO2 layers that after sintering exhibit high inner surface area well-connected nanocrystalline grains assuring good electron transport as well as good connection with a substrate. The layers can be used in dye sensitised solar cells or employed as photo-catalytically active layers for degradation of organic pollutants (on coating, in air or in solution) under ultraviolet irradiation (self-cleaning or cleaning coatings).
