A method for managing the responsibility for harmonic distortion at the point of common coupling between a customer and a utility is presented in the dissertation of Tomaž Pfajfar. The proposed approach is based on the harmonic current vector method and uses reference impedances. The method enables harmonic contribution determination when the actual harmonic customer impedances are not known. It also improves the evaluation of harmonic distortion in resonance conditions. The method is verified by means of computer simulation and field measurements. The supervisor is prof. dr. Igor Papič.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6909780In the interdisciplinary review the two study reports are considered, which describe possible connection of the future HPP Kozjak to Slovenian transmission system. Placing objects of an electric power system into environment is an extremely delicate procedure as local communities and civil initiatives are involved. Therefore it is of essential importance to point out the arguments and to estimate an environmental impact of various variants. Namely, the civil iniative persisted in the realization with a 400kV cable, which is technically and environmentally unacceptable solution.
F.30 Professional assessment of the situation
COBISS.SI-ID: 7063892Fault current calculation is the crucial part of the electric power network planning. Slovenian transmission power system is small therefore for gathering relevant fault current data, especially at highest voltage level, the electrical surrounding has to be considered. If it is too narrow the results are not relevant, if it is too broad the problem of relevant data appears. Therefore the electrical equivalent of Slovenia has been created that (it should be stressed) fulfills demanding accuracy also in cases of electric power system's development in the future.

COBISS.SI-ID: 7161940An index based on small signal stability analysis was introduced into security assessment of power systems. The index was presented at IEEE conference and got positive reviews. Upon these it was decided to include it into the dynamic security assessment system under development by Siemens AG.

COBISS.SI-ID: 7203924In case of high penetration of distributed energy resources, the problem of lack of inertia in power systems can arise. Therefore, it would be necessary for distributed energy resources (DER) to participate in frequency control in case of imbalance between power production and consumption. The paper discuses possibilities of participation of various DER in frequency control in standalone operation. The presented control of DER can increase the frequency stability of the power system. The supervisor of the paper ware dr. Miloš Pantoš and dr. Gregor Verbič.
