In the frame of the clinical study we developed a new technological approach for treatment of liver metastases, by electrochemotherapy utilizing long needle electrodes. In the paper we as the first described in details this new technological approach, based on the treatment plan, and reported on succesful treatment outcome on a clinical case.

The review analyses effectiveness of electrochemotherapy in treatment of breast cancer chest wall recirrences, and compares it to effectiveness on melanoma metastases. Based on this analysis we can expect that electrochemotherapy will be used in future more frequently in treatment of breast cancer chest wall recurrences.

In this paper we presented the problem of cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter, which is one of the most widely used promoters for transgene expression in mammalian cells. The aim of thestudy was to assess the role of methylation, irradiation and treatments with chemotherapeutic cisplatin on the activity of this promoter by using non-invasive in vivo fluorescence imaging. We proved that with radiation and cisplatin activity of CMV promoter is induced. From the results, we concluded that the observed variations in CMV promoter activity limit the usefulness of this promoter for gene therapy.
