New standards regarding analysis of uterine electromiograms to estimate the possibility of pre-term labor. New non-invasive signal processing techniques, 30 minutes recordings (22, 32 weeks) for preterm/term deliveries. Estimating usefulness of different linear and non-linear signal processing techniques to analyze for differentiating among term/pre-term labors. The most useful appeared to be the median frequency and the sample entropy.

To calculate a population-based prospective risk of fetal death in monochorionic-diamniotic twins. Study design: We evaluated 387 monochorionic-diamniotic twin pregnancies in Slovenia. The prospective risk of fetal death was calculated as the total number of deaths divided by the number of continuing pregnancies at or beyond that period. Conclusion: The Slovenian population-based prospective risk of fetal death in monochorionic-diamniotic pregnancies that remained undelivered after 33 weeks of pregnancy is higher than previously reported from hospital-based studies.

As far as we know, we published the first report of FMR1 premutation, sex chromosome mosaicism and blood lymphocyte microchimerism as the cause of premature ovarian failure. In the article we discussed the phenotypic features and presented successful pregnancy outcomes after in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer with donated oocytes.

We have investigated the effect of erythropoietin (EPO) on oxygen-glucose deprived hippocampal slices and hypoxic progenitor cells. EPO improved survival of the organotypic hippocampal slices, promoted neurogenesis and neuronal cell fate commitment of the neural progenitor cells in vitro models of neonatal stroke
