Project All Shades of Green was presented at most important architectural exhibition in the world (biennale in Venice). It addressed landscape architecture as a relevant spatial practice and underlined the importance of landscape for quality of living in urban environment. Project discussed man-nature interrelation as revealed in urban public space and researched the ways of its implementation and presentation, whereby the contemporary projects were positioned in a theoretical framework from artistic as well as scientific aspect. The accompanying book can be used as studying material.

COBISS.SI-ID: 251855104The contribution discusses the acceptance of hazardous objects among local inhabitants as influenced by its perceived impacts on development potential. The evaluation of impacts of low and intermediate level radioactive waste disposal at two proposed sites in Brežice and Krško community indicate a decrease in real estate prices and uncertain decrease of demand for food and tourist service from the area. The distance of 10 km from the facility and the municipality border have an important effect. Results also indicate relatively low reliability of inquiry based forecasts of people's behavior.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6482041Renovation of the Cerklje ob Krki Airport is a complex investment projects and spatial planning problem, dealt with in the National Spatial Plan. Key experience of the project is a successful project-based approach. Special attention was paid to environmental protection. The findings of the environmental assessment have been reflected in the ongoing improvement of the proposed solutions and identifying mitigation measures. An important part of preparing an act has been actively working with local communities, which led to the simultaneous design of locally relevant infrastructure facilities.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6481785Increased extent and variety of wireless systems and the uncertainty about their impact on the environment and health increases also related environmental conflicts. The project identified scientifically supported environmental and spatial guidelines for placement of wireless systems and defined criteria and conditions for planning that can be transferred to local communities' spatial planning documents. One of the results was a tool for quick assessment of the suitability of locations for various types of wireless systems.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6286457Paper is a summary of most significant problems in Slovene spatial planning seen from a point of view of landscape architecture. A selection of most typical problematic case studies is presented. Importance for development of Slovenia: deficiencies of spatial planning system and soma laws are highlighted in order to avoid them in future.
