COBISS.SI-ID: 10121500The issue was to establish if succession problems in family businesses contribute to more modest growth aspirations compared to those where succession solutions are gained. We focus especially on transition countries, where studies on this topic are very rare. Results shows that a high proportion of family enterprises in Slovenia will face the problem of succession in near future. They also suggest that anticipation of an increase in the number of new jobs is higher, on average, among entrepreneurs in family enterprises that have gained succession solutions, compared to those that haven’t.

COBISS.SI-ID: 9852956The paper investigates networking activities between enterprises and organizations (business networking) as well as entrepreneurs’ personal networking (entrepreneurial networking). The empirical research (on a relevant sample of 201 Slovenian SMEs) revealed interesting findings with regard to certain differences with respect to gender (male versus female). Meanwhile, the research identified linkages between investigated dimensions—namely, entrepreneurs’ personal networking and business networking.
