In modern environment, a company can improve its business performance with formation of suitable management where e-businee plays important role. One of the main concerns about management of e-business is how much of e-business should be owned by each participant – i.e. vertical and/or horizontal integration. The organization can use the traditional or modern formation of the structure. First is based on vertical informational connections whic is not sufficient for most of organisations, so they complete them up with horizontal informational connections.

Research results include Slovenian Entrepreneurial Scoreboard with results regarding many different aspects of entrepreneurial activity, together with relevant international comparisons. New indicators, covering many entrepreneurial dimensions are developing, enabling more efficient basis for creation of policy measures. A special focus is also on the social entrepreneurship that covers many forms that differ regarding their profit orientation.

The individual’s decision to become an entrepreneur is influenced by contextual - external and inherent factors focused on the psychological traits of a person. Research results for Slovenia show that there is significant and positive correlation between individual’s decision to become entrepreneur and multidimensional entrepreneurial awareness and openness to innovations of the individual; correlation is negative in the case of risk aversion.

The research aims to contribute to discussion on family vs. non-family businesses’ differences in ethical core values, culture and ethical climate, and to understand better the association between the degree of involvement of a family in an enterprise and its influence on the enterprise’s core values, culture and ethical climate. The research indicates that family as well as non-family enterprises maintain positive attitudes toward the core values with ethical content, but the type of ethical climate, is significantly different between family and non-family enterprises.

The purpose of the research is to disclose the need for the holistic planning of enterprise ethics and its importance for sustainable development of enterprises. The concept of such a planning of enterprise ethics is developed and presented since the available literature does not provide for a similar research or concept of enterprise ethics planning. The research also models the interconnection between core values, culture, climate, and informal as well as formal measures of business ethics in order to understand the importance of enterprise ethics.
